Dr. Michael LaCroix, Medical Director with The Hartford Financial Services Group, and Pam Bloom- Pugliese, Director of Product Management at ODG by MCG, will discuss mental health conditions and how they can affect other medical conditions, including work-related diagnoses and disability. This will be followed by a panel discussion on how psychiatric conditions impact return-to-work. The Committee will also spend time developing educational modules to release through educate@iaiabc.

POC implementation updates will be provided by Michigan and Oklahoma and the group will receive an update from our WCIO representative.

The Regulation Committee will discuss tribal interactions in workers’ compensation with a presentation from the State of Oregon. The Committee will then hear a presentation from Chris Welch, Bureau Chief, Florida Division of Investigative and Forensic Services and member of the 2021- 2022 Coalition Against Insurance Fraud Task Force about the Coalition’s task force report. This will be followed by a discussion of coverage compliance and insurance fraud and how it is being addressed in the industry, presented by Steve Wright, former Associate Commissioner Fraud Division, Maryland Insurance Administration. The committee will also hear an update from the AMA on the latest updates to the AMA Guidelines.
